Mind Power With NLP and Time Line Therapy® – Real or Not, It Can Reinvent Your Life Part 1

I don’t know if the words “mind power” really describe what NLP is and what it does. I believe there is a lot of myth and anecdotes that make out of NLP more than it actually is. If you read some of the articles on the net, it almost sounds magical.

Well, as a very practical person, firmly anchored in day-to-day reality of life, I don’t buy the myths about the mind power being magical. It is not magical and it is not extraordinary. It is within the capabilities of every person.

But I think a better question would be – “Is it useful?” Does it give you a lot more control over your behaviors, knee jerk reactions and strategies for success in your life? That I have to wholeheartedly agree with.

There are a lot of people caught in the scientific studies about NLP. Are there any? The answer is yes, there are and on our website you will see some of them.

However, since NLP and Time Line Therapy® work with the mind how would you “study” their efficacy? There aren’t any “scientific” studies that measure in any way psychological disturbances in people – how would you measure improved performance for a normal person? You either achieve it or you don’t. It is very simple. People using NLP and Time Line Therapy® do get better results, do get command over their unconscious reactions and have a great set of skills to work with when things get tough.

NLP Is Not Theoretical, Is Practical

Here is how it works and why you should consider it for yourself. You have a lot of aptitudes and capabilities inside you right now. Some of them are being used some are not. Some are used for your advantage, some are not. For most of our students, the discovery of many capabilities already present inside them comes as a big surprise. This happens because these capabilities are not brought to use. You have not been taught the “how to” process. There is no course on how the mind works to advance your development in schools. There should be, but there isn’t one that is as immediately useful as learning NLP that I know of.

Every year, many people turn to NLP as part of their need to improve something. Whether they change their jobs and want new skills, or want to assist their children with better performance in school, or maybe want to understand better why their relationships don’t seem to work as good as they should. Many people don’t want to put up anymore with activities (maybe even a job) they really don’t like, but they feel like they have no other choice…there are as many reasons for people turning to NLP as there are people.

Although in the US, NLP is considered mostly a personal development tool, it is actually one of the most practical set of personal mind “gizmos” and skills that are easy to learn by all people, and that can lead to real excellence. Again, and this is a no brainer, when your behavior is excellent, meaning you are resourceful in the face of any difficulty – life is better and more fulfilling.

Great article, Adriana. I liked the statement that the mind “is not magical and it is not extraordinary. It is within the capabilities of every person.” Isn’t this because every person is “magical” in his or her rights and simply limited by accepted limiting beliefs and negative emotions?

Well, Andreas, the answer is, as always, somewhere in the middle. We limit ourselves by accepting limitations that could be either (1) absorbed through the environment, thus not of our own making and (2) In general people prefer to operate into the “known” rather than step into the unknown. What would happen if I change these beliefs?
“What would happen with me, and to me, if I give up x or Y or z?” “Who would I be?” “What would happen if I discover that much of what I think about the world, or I know about family, relationships, career, success, love and so on, is actually not true?” “Would I lose my ‘power’ and control over my life?”
Paradoxically this type of thinking leads to more lack of personal power and choice in decision making. so, yes, I believe it is in the capabilities of everyone, but they need to want to make that choice.

He Adriana this article is very good and is very knowledge full for us. if i think that NLP can change our thinking pattern and effect on our mind that, this is correct and we use NLP in our life in both way in theatrically as wall as practically but it is more effective when we apply this in our life practicly.
