Meditation – Why Give It A Try

Dealing with day-to-day stressful routine is not easy. Many people struggle to keep calm and happy. Stress is slowly but surely eroding their inner resources. The emotional demands of an uncertain period of time (like the present one) leave many in an un-resourceful state where depression, anxiety, frustration and other Negative Emotions intensify the stress.

According to Mayo Clinic News Network

“Nearly 70 percent of Americans are on at least one prescription drug, and more than half take two, Mayo Clinic and Olmsted Medical Center researchers say. Antibiotics, antidepressants and painkilling opioids are most commonly prescribed, their study found. Twenty percent of patients are on five or more prescription medications, according to the findings, published online in the journal Mayo Clinic Proceedings.”

Of course the ideal would be to do Time Line Therapy® and let go of the past emotions but if you’re not familiar with this set of techniques, there is something else you can do instead.

According to Dr. Mercola in this article

“Every human illness is stress-related on some level.

“Since meditation works so well to relieve stress, it can also prevent and help heal illness. Not only can meditation reduce blood pressure and hypertension risks, it has also been shown to help relieve:

  • Chronic pain, including headaches
  • Respiratory problems such as emphysema and asthma
  • Sleep disturbances and fatigue
  • Gastrointestinal distress and irritable bowel syndrome
  • Skin disorders
  • Mild depression and premenstrual syndrome
  • RA (rheumatoid arthritis) symptoms

“Conditions like these can rob you of your ability to live a full, satisfying life. When you’re weighed down with stress and the physical complaints that go with it, just getting through each day becomes a chore. Your stress is in control – you aren’t.”

That’s what meditation offers you. It’s a way of helping yourself and at the same time foundation upon which to build.

It is not news that there are physical benefits to meditating, too, with research showing meditation may lower blood pressure with just three months of practice. It seems that meditation also is extremely valuable in lessening the impact of psychological distress as well as intensifying coping ability.

Research from the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine (NCCAM) also backs up the idea that meditation acts as a form of “mental exercise” that can assist in increasing your focus, attention and emotions, while improving well-being.

“It’s been found previously that meditation prompts changes in the amygdala, a region of the brain associated with processing emotion. The new research suggests these beneficial brain changes persist even after the meditation session is over, resulting in enduring changes in mental function.”

Now, there are people who tried meditation and their minds don’t sit still long enough to be able to benefit from the process. That’s why I recommend these four Guided Meditation CD’s as a place to start before you attempt to do it on your own.

Here Is How to Give Meditation a Try

If you’d like to give meditation a try, here are four different beautifully guided meditations. Tad James and I guide you through the whole process so you don’t have to worry about losing focus. Using your own Time Line we guide you through the process of connecting with people you know and people you don’t know to assist you in a win-win situation to accomplish your goals. Also Tad guides you back to your Higher Council so you can determine if you are accomplishing your Life’s Path. And together Tad and myself guide you through a journey towards prosperity. Not only do these meditations accomplish all the advantages stemming from the meditation process itself, but they also serve as a method for accomplishing your future goals.

It is ideal to set aside 15-20 minutes twice a day to practice meditation, in a place where you cannot be disturbed. Turn your phone off, and lock the door with strict instructions not to be disturbed. You can also try it in shorter segments, but ultimately try to work your way up to 20 minutes twice a day. Great article thanks. I’ve been meditating most of my life and it has had a fundamental effect on how I am as a being, how I focus through the stress and still direct myself towards desired outcomes, how I encounter and experience moment-to-moment consciousness unfolding, and how I learn the difference between who I am and who I think I am.
