How to create a “Champion” attitude – Part one

NLP Coaching - Ricardo Gomez By Ricardo Gomez (Guest writer)

Wouldn’t it be great to start your day or to start your life right now with the attitude of a “Champion”?

What if you could start everyday with the feeling of being able to get what you want, emotionally, physically, intellectually and spiritually?

Would that be life changing for you?

I bet it would!

Ask yourself the following questions:

“How could a simple change improve my life dramatically in the next 3 months, 6 months, or one year from now?”

“What could I have? What could I get? Who could I become? Who could I help once I make changes in my life and develop  the attitude of a “Champion?”

See, we all have a “Champion” within us.  All we need to do is to let it come out!

To achieve that, we need to first make a clear inventory of what we have within ourselves, of what has been holding us back.

Here is how one of my clients found her inner “Champion.” . At first, she did not believe she could get the raise she clearly deserved. All we had to do was to find the root cause of why and when she decided she was not worth it of that raise and clear up the problem.  After that she simply went back to her boss and not only got a raise, but also a promotionin her division.  That opened up even more opportunities, more choices for her future.

You might have made decisions based on limiting beliefs and negative emotions that are holding you back.  This might have been done consciously or unconsciously.

Once you become aware of  those limitations, all you need is to do is  let them go and keep the “learnings” that are associated with it.

One of the clients I coached benefited from that process.  He was able to let go of some of the negative emotions that he had with a prior business partner, all that anger, resentment, disappointment and  negative feelings went  out the door.

He kept all the learnings associated with that business experience, yet he was no longer “attached” to that particular person. What a relief for him it was.  He could now focus on his future without feeling trapped in the past.

The “learnings” from those experiences are what really count, not the feeling associated with them, especially when those feelings / emotions are holding you back.

Understand this, in our lives we have created experiences and memories from our past, and those affect how we approach our present day situations. More often than not they might prevent you from expressing yourselves in a way that stops you from achieving the results you want in many areas of your life.
